A Lifetime of Learning Makes You Rich

A Lifetime of Learning Makes You RichONCE a person has graduated from high school, he is free to choose which career he’ll proceed. He or she may want to proceed to college but there are really lots of factors that come into play here. If the person is so intelligent, he or she can immediately dash a four-year academic scholarship at Georgetown and perhaps take a degree in international studies. That will surely be a path to success. Once you have possessed a bachelor’s degree in international studies, many potential employers will hire you especially if you’re a summa cum laude. But don’t just sit on your laurels. There are a lot of things to work for if you really want to succeed. You must need a master’s degree in international relations and ultimately work your ladder into a doctorate. That’s how it is to be competitive. After all, you’ve got colleagues at work who possess magnificent resumes too – with diplomas from such renowned universities as Yale, Cornell and Harvard, among others.

Earning a doctorate degree doesn’t mean that you’ll be consistently staying in college for eight consecutive years since the time you’ve graduated from high school. You may do it alternatively with your work. For example, if you are hired by the State Department as a mere clerk upon graduating with the bachelor’s degree, you will later on be promoted as an assistant to one of the several assistant secretaries of state if you have achieved the master’s degree. Then you later on graduate to become an intelligence analyst and you will be handling personnel around the world embedded in United States embassies. Once you’ll have achieved a doctorate already, who knows you’ll now become the national security adviser. That’s really achievable. But that’s just one concept in the field of continuing adult education.

There is another hypothetical example that I’m going to show you. For example, if you are not that affluent and you’re not that intelligent but really diligent in your studies, you can still achieve that elusive success. For example, if you are living in a farm and you’re doing great in your high school as a the captain of the basketball varsity team, you may apply for an athletic scholarship at any reputable college or university nationwide. If you have an equal passion with agronomy so you can help with the family business, then enroll in a degree in agronomy. In four years’ time, you will have graduated by then and you can proceed taking care of the family farm where you can rake in huge amounts of money. You may even have a supplementary business on the side such as one geared towards agri-tourism perhaps. You will not only let children enjoy the corn mazes and the hayrides, you can also help them open their eyes on where the food on their table comes from. And maybe five years from then, you will be appointed as the state commissioner for agriculture. Who knows?
